The trailer for Nickelodeon: All-Stars Brawl shows off a good amount of stages from the likes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hey Arnold, Spongebob Squarepants, and even Ren and Stimpy. The stages that are shown briefly might be unlockable secret stages or perhaps even variations on the default stage.

Boy Kappa Mikey sure was a trainwreck of the early 2000s, wasn't it? This show, created by Larry Schwarz, would be the most memorable thing Larry was a part of. The idea was that Mikey, an American Actor, would travel to Japan to star in a show, and would meet a bunch of characters along the way that were designed after anime stereotypes to contrast his Western animation stereotype character. It was a mess of a show, yet it still carved out a little space in all of our minds who saw it as kids/teens, and it hasn't left since.

The main trailer for this game showcases a wide array of stages to punch and Brawl Stars online guide your way through. Having a large diversity of stages from the get-go will be optimal for this game's success. The trailer seems to show the same stages but with different characters in them. Perhaps this is alluding to the fact that there might be dynamic stage layouts that shift depending on the action taking place.

But, frankly, we do hope that All-Stars Brawl Stars collectibles has alternate costumes and colors, as it would be an easy way for the developers to tug at our nostalgia even more than they already have.


If fans want a taste of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl early , they don't need to look any further than Ludosity's previous fighting game. Slap City is a charming platform fighter built with characters from Ludosity's past games, including Ittle Dew , Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt , and Iji . The game goes out of it's way to make all nine characters play very differently, and there are a ton of stages to play with. The game is known for its "Clutch" button, which modifies attacks when held. It also has a story mode with a very heavy emphasis on platforming. Slap City 's quality and attention to detail inspires a lot of hope for Ludosity's work on All-Star Bra

While he would definitely be smaller than most other combatants if added, he could more than make up for that in speed. Maybe he could tunnel his way around arenas or build doors to escape from once things get too heavy? Swift, elusive fighters are genre mainstays, and Winslow would be a solid example.

Incorporating them into the game would be an interesting challenge. Maybe they could appear as one slot on the roster, simple palette swaps of each other? Maybe one of the Action League members could be chosen as the series' representation for the game. Regardless, a callback to one of modern animation’s more unconventional super-teams deserves a spot in the cast.

We hadn't thought about it until now, but thanks to @ActualAero's question on Twitter, what is the soundtrack of this game going to be like? The most realistic possibility is that it'll just use the background music from all the Nickelodeon shows and movies as stage music, with a couple of new songs created just for the game.

Patrick Star and Oblina are shown in the trailer making some silly moves at the camera or other characters which might lead to the possibility of various taunts to equip to use in-match. While character taunts don't really do much to alter gameplay, they do at least provide a fun and lighthearted way to express yourself in a multiplayer match.

But, the dream scenario most fans are probably hoping for is that they'll remix many of the iconic songs from these shows into full tracks similar to how Smash did. We'd love to see a version of "Icky Vicky" from Fairly Odd Parents tailored to a fighting game or even a different rendition of "Gooby Goober" from the first Spongebob movie.

Seeing that one stage in the trailer pointed to or hinted at certain platform-specific characters or stages. This may not actually happen at launch but could certainly be an aspect for DLC down the line.
